What is your sizing like?
Our size curve goes from a 30 to a 42 – remember that our sizes are of a generous fit! Check out size chart for more details.
Can I pay with my credit card?
Our online store makes use of Yoco so you can choose which card you wish to pay with. Should you require other payment options, just pop us a message on the ‘contact us’ page!
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes we do! There is a R120 handling fee which is a contribution towards the logistics involved around collection of the original garment and dispatch of the exchange garment to you. Exchange requests must be communicated to us within 5 days of receipt of your order.
Do you offer refunds?
We can assist with a refund. There is a handling fee of R120 which is a contribution toward the logistics involved in returning the garment to us. This excludes any monies paid for shipping on the initial order.
What fabrics do you make use of?
We use a variety of fabrics allowing us to keep the range fresh and contemporary. We make use of linen, cotton, voile, knits, viscose and many more.
Do you have a shop?
We have retail store in the Lillies Quarter Shopping Centre in Hillcrest, Durban as well as Rondebosch, Cape Town.
Is your brand a local one?
Yes it is – all aspects from start to finish are done locally. From sourcing fabric, printing, dyeing, embroidery, production and design.
What experience in the industry do you have?
Michelle is the super talented designer and Creative Director of Calypso Collections and has been in the industry for 30 years. Over and above designing all the pieces, Michelle has spent a large part of her career in sourcing and manufacturing for boutiques and chain stores.
How does shipping work?
There is a R120 flat rate for shipping nationally for all orders below R2000. If your cart value is over R2000 you qualify for free shipping! We make use of a reputable courier company and are able to offer door to door shipping as well as offer the services of Postnet’s counter to counter service.
Can I have my order shipped internationally?
Yes you can – our courier partner is able to ship internationally. We will reach out to them and quote on an individual basis and place the order for you should you accept the quote.
Do you have items that are in stock, or are all your items only available on backorder?
We do have stock available, however, if your product needs to be manufactured, we do so inhouse and it only requires 2-3 days!
If my item is in stock, are you able to send it to me on an Overnight Express service?
We can endeavour to do our best – but we will generally require a day or two for the processing of all orders, even when your item is in stock.
Are you able to custom-make something for me that I found on Pinterest?
Although all production is done in-house, in order to keep our backorder systems as effective as possible the production lines have to be as streamlined as possible. It is for this reason that we do not offer to custom-made garments.
Is customising my order an option?
We may be able to shorten the lengths of our Slim Pants – if you would like to chat with someone from the team before placing your order then please WhatsApp us on 076 287 9574. Other than that, our garments cannot be altered. Altered garments are not eligible for return no exchange.
Do you ever have sales online?
Yes we do – be sure to keep your eyes on our social media pages to ensure that you do not ever miss out! We also have fabulous end of Season sales at our studio in Hillcrest, Durban. Contact us if you would like to be added to the Whatsapp group for details!
Can I buy a gift voucher online?
You certainly can – here is the link to the product: Buy a Gift Voucher. Once your order is marked as paid, the voucher will be automatically emailed to the address detailed in the recipient field on the order.
How do I clean my Calypso garments?
Please refer to the wash care label on your garment. It is always recommended that you hand wash delicate fabrics. If you are unsure, please just ask!
Do you offer lay-byes?
We make use of an awesome online payment platform called PayJustNow – select this option upon checking out. PayJustNow enables you to pay off your full cart value over three interest-free instalments. There are no delays with the shipping of your order either – it’s a win-win!
